About Us & Sustainability

"Our aim is to create that lingerie, that will be the first thing you want to put on and the last thing you take off!"

Woron is a Copenhagen based collaboration between two sisters - Arina and Anya Woron. They have a passion for life in the slow lane and both share an enthusiasm for sustainable underwear & everyday essentials.

Their products are represented all over the world in selected stores, that share their desire to make woman’s identity flourish along with a love for our Earth.

We are very passionate about our work and it is very important for us to feel good about every step we take. We are sustainably conscious from the crafting, to the handling of each product and finally to the timeless design that can stay in your wardrobe season after season - year after year.

We women can feel sexy anytime anywhere regardless of what we put on our body, but we believe that a little stylish comfort helps us get going much faster.

Our luxurious selection is made with a soft blend of plant based goodness: natural breathable materials made especially for women’s comfort…now neither your body nor your conscience has to suffer.

No toxic chemicals. No toxic dyes. No chafing. No metal pokes. No style? No Way! The basic underwear you love without the junk you don’t.

All fabrics and trimmings are certifed and produced within Europe. When we work with cotton, it is only with GOTS certified organic cotton, to ensure a high quality all the way through the supply chain.

All dyes used in the making of our products are certified, are non toxic and allergy friendly.

Clean and with style both in look and in our conscience is what we strive for. We embrace Slow Fashion as the core of our design process. Timeless pieces made in a clean, transparent and simple fashion to ensure a long lifespan.

Slow fashion is about designing, producing, consuming and living better. And it is about returning to a personal  relationship with fashion. One where trends and seasons don’t matter, but where your ethics and aesthetics seamlessly unite.

So no ever changing look & no over-production. We’ve heard the sentence ‘Less is More’ said a thousand times, but it really is true.

The fashion industry has a bad rap these days. Most fashion products aren’t made in a way that’s any good for you nor Earth. We’re here to change that.

Our purpose is to make women’s authentic self flourish. What does this mean you may ask? Well, we are an avid proponent for women’s well-being and health. We want to take it back a notch, slow down a bit and ask: are we feeling comfortable in our own skin? do we feel sexy? Are we showing up with confidence in our daily lives?

We believe that most things can be fixed with a good attitude and some comfy clothes that don’t compromise style and sexiness. When the underpants aren’t riding up and the bra isn’t chafing or trying to suffocate you, when one’s body just finally says “aaaah, I’m good right now”, then it’s as if magic happens. One’s well-being soars and with it confidence and feeling sexy emerges all by itself, naturally.

Our aim is to create that lingerie, that will be the first thing you want to put on and the last thing you take off!

One of the most environmentally sustainable options available.

The Base Collection is sewn from this luxury fiber called Lenzing Modal, It is a fine, smooth fiber made from beech wood.

It is created by turning the wood into pulp, extracting the fiber and then reconstituting the fiber so that it can be spun into fabric.

It is sourced from sustainable forestry plantations growing native trees and the fibres are produced in a CO2 neutral way.

It is a fabric that is irritation free and naturally prevents the growth of bacteria.

We only use GOTS certified fibers, handling methods and factories, when working with Organic cotton. The cotton is grown in accordance with organic agriculture methods, without the use of harmful defoliants.

It is produced with methods that respect the well-being of mankind and environment.

The cotton is free from toxic dyes & fabric treatments including formaldehyde, heavy metals & aromatic solvents.

People with chemical sensitivity and allergies can wear organic cotton safely.

At the core of everything we do at Woron is a strong respect for the people we work with, and the environment we work within.

We are well aware of the reputation of the fashion industry and strive to promote positive change. You can read much more about the factories that we work with right here.
